Original artwork: direction and navigation
The preserved artwork below belongs to Simon’s original collection. Use the preview to inspect the forms at the size you need. An unfamiliar symbol should have a visible text label; decorative artwork should not compete with the main task.
Only a recovered source package is offered for download. Check the original usage terms in the archived text. A preview alone is not the editable Illustrator file.

Inside the original PDF
The one-page Illustrator PDF contains 56 arrow symbols arranged in seven rows. It includes straight and diagonal arrows, chevrons, curved directions, dotted forms and arrows inside circles or squares.
Choose by meaning, not decoration
- Next: pair a horizontal arrow with the word “Next”; reverse its direction only when the reading direction requires it.
- Download: a downward arrow needs a label, because the same shape can also mean “move down”.
- Open elsewhere: a diagonal arrow can accompany a clear destination label.
- Expand: a chevron changes a local panel; keep its state explicit with aria-expanded.
A decorative arrow does not create a working control. Put it inside a real link or button and keep the control’s accessible name meaningful.
